Blade Runner 2049
This movie stars Ryan Gosling It is a sequel to Bladerunner the 1982 scifi movie about androids "Blade Runner" It stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, with Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Jared Leto in supporting roles.
It premiered in the year 2017
Its about a bladerunner who is actually an android. His girlfriend is a virtual computer program
A blade Runner is a police officer who captures and retires (kills) rogue androids.
Well it turns out the androids can reproduce, and one of them had a baby.
the police officers are afraid of this, and so the hunt begins for the missing baby (now an adult)
I found the visual effects of the film, the plot, the movie score and the acting interesting and stimulating. a good 2 hours of entertainment
In order to truly enjoy the film, you have to also watch the original movie "bladerunner" (1982)

No Time to die
This movie stars Daniel Craig It is the 25th James Bond movie It premiered in the year 2021. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (A Japanese-Swedish american filmmaker), it is the final James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig
It stars Rami Malek and Naomie Harris, and a host of other actors, and is a standard James Bond film with exciting car chases, assinations, shoot outs and near misses.
Gripping stuff, and a jolly good 2 hours of entertainment
The only thing I didnt like about this movie is that James Bond DIES at the end of the movie. Heaven knows how they are going to resurrect him for next time. That will take some doing, even by movie standards (now dead, now alive).

Ghost in a shell
This movie stars Scarlett Johanssen This is futuristic movie about cyborgs This is a 2017 futiristic movie about cyborgs, in a time when human beings all have cyborg enhancements. It starts Scarlett Johansse, Juliet Binoche (they were the only 2 I recognised) and a host of other characters. Its about an anti-terrorism cyber soldier who investigates her past. It turns out she was abducted and changed into a cyborg as a child. The criminal, the director of the company Hanka Robotics is assassinated on the orders of the government with the blessing of Scarlett Johansson.

The movie is based on a Japanese manga of the same name. The lead characters are all Caucasian Americans, the rest are Japanese. The movie is set in Japan.
An excellent 2 hours of entertainment.

The Matrix
This 1999 sci-fi movie stars Keanu Reeves, and is directed by the Wachowski brothers, who are now the Wachowski sisters.
Its about a future world run by a computer program, which uses the brains of human brains as batteries. The problem here is that they must be thinking brains, so these brains live in a simulated reality world called the matrix.
With me so far? lets continue
Anyway, it turns out small group of human beings have escaped the matrix, and are living normal lives in a colony deep inside earth called "Zion"
They spend their time rescuing human beings from the matrix.
And so the war between human beings and the computer program continues
Eventually the human beings win, and the computer program promises to free the rest of the human beings from the matrix
so they all live happily afterwards, in a real world until the next movie "Matrix reloaded"

Minority Report

This 2002 movie stars Tom Cruise and is directed by Steven Spielberg. This futuristic scifi movie is about a police department which uses psychics to check on precrimes, and so prevent crime.
Anyway, one of the psychics predicted that Tom Cruise, well not Tom Cruise, the character he plays, will commit a murder, and so he goes on the run, chased by the precrime police department. The Minority report refers to the fact that sometimes the psychics see a possible different future.
I found the film a little bit of a dark movie, a bit of a futuristic movie-noir, but it was an enjoyable 2 hours just the same.
